1 Research with the Super 3

2 What does the word “research” mean?
Research means “a careful study and investigation for the purpose of discovering and explaining new knowledge” What are you suppose to do for your teachers?

4 Plan What do I need to learn about to get the job done?
What topic am I to write about? What are sources? How many sources of information do I need? Where will I find these sources? What is the product to look like when I am done?

5 Do How can I use what I’ve learned to make something?
Write down on paper 3 facts you found out in each source. Create a story line for your facts. Use your own words do not copy from source. Are there pictures I can use to help tell about the facts. How to present the final product: paper? Poster board? Publish like a book? Power Point? Present your product to your class/teacher?

6 Review Did I do what I was supposed to do? How could I do it better?
Evaluate what you did Did the students/teacher get what you were talking about? Could you have presented it different? Would it help? What would you do next time?

7 Sources Books for animals: where they are located in the library.
Use OPAC to find your topic If there is no book in our library, use the encyclopedia online. Internet websites on your topic.
