Presentation on theme: "Bell work 9/6 Put your name at the top of your paper."— Presentation transcript:

1 Bell work 9/6 Put your name at the top of your paper.
Fold your paper in half. On the back draw a line down the center where you folded. On the left side draw a circle map with “physical geography” in the center circle. On the right side number 1-2 with space to write sentences for each one. With your table group at a level 1 define ‘physical geography’ in your circle map. When you are finished turn in your Cornell Notes from last week if you forgot to turn them in.

14 strait Narrow stretch of water joining two larger bodies of water

15 Ice shelf A thick mass of ice that is permanently attached to the land but projects into and floats on the sea

16 peninsula Body of land jutting into a lake or ocean, surrounded on three sides by water

17 desert A region so arid because of little rainfall that it supports only sparse and widely spaced vegetation or no vegetation at all

18 valley Area of low land between hills or mountains

19 tundra One of the vast, nearly level, treeless plains of the arctic regions
