2 CUSTOMER’S REQUIRMENTS
Target Audience: All children 8-12 years of age Reasons for our product choice: Our customer, a 10 year old boy asked us to make something fun and interactive. After a couple days of thought we settled on the idea of an obscure version of catch. After discussing several options with our customer he agreed that our idea of a “Stretchy-Net” was the best option.

3 CONCEPTUAL DESIGN Tennis racket chosen due to cheapness, toughness, and ease of construction Legging material chosen due to cheapness, ease of construction, and right amount of “stretchiness” Handle was 3D printed due to unique shape desired

4 CUSTOMERS FEEDBACK AND RESULTS
Overall our customer was pleased with the final product. He informed us that our product was easy and fun to use. The customer just had one critique, to have the ball launch further and faster. After the construction of our product, it was able to perform all the desired functions and much more. The Stretchy-Net was able to launch, throw, catch, and bounce the ball. Originally, the Stretchy-Net was only suppose to be able to launch and catch, but after construction we could see that it was able to bounce and throw the ball.

5 FINAL DESIGN Construction: Reasoning behind Construction:
To construct our design, we began by removing the string of a tennis racquet to give us an open space. This open space was then covered with our stretchy material (leggings). The stretchy material then had to be attached to the head of the racquet. To do this, we used plastic ties, which were weaved through the stretchy material and around the bumper guard of the racquet. After our stretchy material was attached, we attached the handle to the center of the opening on the stretchy material. Reasoning behind Construction: To allow the customer to easily and effectively pull a stretchy material to launch a ball.

8 SUMMARY Our objective was to build and design an original children's toy. In order to gain information about a child’s wants and desires for a toy, we interviewed a 10 year old boy. While interviewing our new customer, we learned that they only wanted a toy that was fun, cool, and interactive. This suggestion lead us to the idea of the Stretchy-Net. The Stretchy-Net would allow children to be active in a fun and new way. After establishing our materials, construction went smoothly. We found that our product was able to do all of our desired functions along with some new ones. These functions include but are not limited to catching, launching, throwing, and bouncing. When we presented our product to our customer, they were very pleased with the Stretchy-Net.
