9/17/12 Start Date End Date Work to be Completed November 15, 2012 December 17, 2012 Team Members complete Self Assessment of 2012 performance / behaviors December 1, 2012 February 28, 2013 Managers and Team Members set business and personal objectives for *NOTE: objectives MUST be entered by 2/28/13 December 17, (or earlier) January 25, 2013 Managers assess 2012 performance/ behaviors and write Performance & Development Reviews including proposed performance ratings and salary increases January 25, 2013 (or earlier) February 4, 2013 HR Managers review 2012 Performance and Development Reviews, proposed ratings and salary increases sending back to manager for revision, if needed *NOTE: all performance ratings in system by 2/4/13 February 6 February 6 System populates preliminary 2012 MIB payout based on preliminary financial and individual performance achievement February 7 February 18 Ratings Calibration within Segments / Functions: Business Segment Presidents / Function Leaders and Group HR VPs review roll up of 2012 performance ratings, 2012 MIB & 2013 salary planning February 19 February 20 Final financial results available; system recalculates proposed MIB payouts February 21 February 25 Ratings Calibration across Segments: Segments and Functions review final 2012 performance ratings, MIB and salary increases with R. DeFeo and K. Barr February 25* March 15 Managers have performance and development discussions with team members providing performance ratings February 26 February 27 Board of Directors Meetings (2012 MIB Payouts & 2013 Salary Increases Approved) February 28 March 8 Payroll notified of MIB payouts (payouts by March 15 in U.S. and March 31 for non-U.S. locations) February 28 March 14 Managers inform TMs of MIB payouts and salary increases April 1 April 1 2013 Salary increases effective * Note: Performance and development discussions can begin prior to February 25th if overall segment ratings are consistent with agreed to averages; discussions to be focused around performance and development with salary increases and MIB payouts communicated at a later date but connected to performance ratings Team Member tasks Team Member/Manager tasks Manager tasks HR tasks
