3. Solomon Asked For Wisdom
1 Kings 3:7 (NKJV) 7 Now, O Lord my God, You have made Your servant king instead of my father David, but I am a little child; I do not know how to go out or come in.

4. Solomon Asked For Wisdom
2 Chronicles 1:7 (NKJV) 7 On that night God appeared to Solomon, and said to him, “Ask! What shall I give you?”

5. Solomon Asked For Wisdom
2 Chronicles 1:10 (NKJV) 10 Now give me wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people; for who can judge this great people of Yours?”

6. Solomon Asked For Wisdom
2 Chronicles 1:11 (NKJV) 11 Then God said to Solomon: “…you have not asked riches or wealth or honor or the life of your enemies, nor have you asked long life—but have asked wisdom and knowledge…”

7. Ask For Wisdom!
If we place God first, all other things will be added to us. 2 Chronicles 1:12 (NKJV) 12 wisdom and knowledge are granted to you; and I will give you riches and wealth and honor, such as none of the kings have had who were before you, nor shall any after you have the like.”

8. Ask For Wisdom!
Wisdom will protect us. Proverbs 4:4–6 (NKJV) 4 He also taught me, and said to me: “Let your heart retain my words; Keep my commands, and live. 5 Get wisdom! Get understanding! Do not forget, nor turn away from the words of my mouth. 6 Do not forsake her, and she will preserve you; Love her, and she will keep you.

9. Ask For Wisdom!
Wisdom will give us confidence. James 1:5–8 (NKJV) 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. 6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. 7 For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; 8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.

10. Ask For Wisdom!
Wisdom will give us confidence. Proverbs 2:10 (NKJV) 10 When wisdom enters your heart, And knowledge is pleasant to your soul,

11. If we want to obtain wisdom…
…acknowledge the source. Proverbs 2:6 (NKJV) 6 For the Lord gives wisdom; From His mouth come knowledge and understanding;

12. If we want to obtain wisdom…
…we must seek it. Proverbs 3:13 (NKJV) 13 Happy is the man who finds wisdom, And the man who gains understanding;

13. If we want to obtain wisdom…
…we must be willing to accept it. Proverbs 2:2 (NKJV) 2 So that you incline your ear to wisdom, And apply your heart to understanding;

14. If we want to obtain wisdom…
…we must practice it. Matthew 11:19 (NKJV) 19 The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, ‘Look, a glutton and a winebibber, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!’ But wisdom is justified by her children.”
