What is Mica? Minerals consisting of hydrous slilcates of aluminum or potassium that crystallize in forms that allow perfect cleveage (very thin layers) Mica capacitors are normally made from muscovite mica - potassium aluminum silicate [KAl2Si3O10(OH)2]
5
Why Choose Mica? Temperature stability High frequency up to 1 GHz
-55°C to +125 °C standard -55 °C to °C on certain product High frequency up to 1 GHz Tight tolerance ±0.5 pF High dV/dt to 275,000 V/ms Great for snubber applications
