Then I subtracted $ from $5795 and got $

5. Observations
The first observation I made was that the Tarrant county sales tax is 8.75%.
The second observation I made was that the new selling price when on discount, the new price is lower than the original selling price by a little bit.
The last observation I made was that even with discount the sales ax adds a lot more to it.

6. Definitions Discount- a percentage taken from an original sale price
Markdown- a reduction in price
Sales Tax- a percentage added to the sales price
Selling Price- the price an item sells for in a store
