Universal Religions: Attempt to appeal to a large population all over the world. (pop culture of religions) 58% of the world practices one of these (ex. Christianity, Islam, Buddhism) Ethnic Religions: Typically appeal to one group of people living in one place. (folk culture of religions) 26% of the world practices one of these (ex. Hinduism, Judaism, African Traditionalism)

Geographism: A religion for people who love and study geography. Name of followers: Geographites Deity: Atlas (he’s got the whole world in his hands...duh!) Rituals: Draw maps of places that many people have never heard of Discuss the impact of geography on human civilizations Have geography themed dinner parties frequently Sacred Symbols: Compass Rose, longitude and latitude. Sacred Texts: The Cultural Landscape Founder: Mr. Hartman
