Fig. 1 A typical Raman spectrum of whole venous blood, measured using a diode laser beam, A=473nm, P=18–20mW. Inset: prosthetic group of hemoglobin, the heme. Hatched lines indicate bonds, related to the ν4 band. Pathophysiology , 13-17DOI: ( /j.pathophys ) Copyright © 2017 Elsevier B.V. Terms and Conditions

Fig. 2 Morphological indexes of erythrocytes.
Morphological indexes (MI) of erythrocytes based on LIM data. Each cell in the image was scored with a value, corresponding to its shape. Upper row is schematic cross sections of erythrocytes; lower row is the corresponding phase images of cells. Pathophysiology , 13-17DOI: ( /j.pathophys ) Copyright © 2017 Elsevier B.V. Fig. 3 Changes in morphological and functional parameters of erythrocytes (case-control data). a- RBC count; b- MCH; c- MCV; d- MI; e- Oxy-Hb level. The data is presented as a standard box and whisker plot (where the length of the box is an interquartile range) with experimental data (closed point), the ends of the whiskers represent the maximal and minimal values. In the diagram, data of the control group (control) and that of the case group before (T0), after 3 months (T1) and after 12 months (T2) rGH treatment are shown. The dotted lines are upper and lower limits of the reference range of the measurement parameters. The p-values between parameters of the control group and those of the case group are shown. The experimental data were evaluated via the Kruskal-Wallis test with the addition of the post-hoc Dunn's test (p<0.05). The significant differences are marked by asterisks (*).
