Changing patterns of leisure and tourism
Definitions: Leisure: your free time and the non-work activities at home or close to home that you might use it for; Tourism: when you travel to visit and experience a location further away from home (can be in your home country or abroad, a day trip or a year travelling). Leisure activities can be classified as either passive (these involve you remaining calm and still) or active (more energetic activities that involve you moving or being physically active. Tourism can be: short term (eg a day trip or weekend to the beach) long term (eg a three week tour of Europe) National (within your country of residence) International (visiting a foreign country).
