2 Quality Assurance and the Bologna Process
2000: establishment of The European Network for Quality Assurance in Higher Education to promote European co-operation in the field of quality assurance 2004: the General Assembly transformed the Network into The European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA) 2005: adoption of the Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG) and call to prepare European register of quality assurance agencies (EQAR) 2008: establishment of European register of quality assurance agencies (today includes 17 agencies)

QA systems and procedures to also asses: fulfilment of the internationalisation objectives, including mobility recognition of qualifications and of prior learning attainment of learning outcomes life – long learning practices social dimension in Higher Education and development and maintenance of Qualification Frameworks development and maintenance of discipline standards

5 Associates* of ENQA from the region: Croatia, Serbia
Members* of CEE network (affiliate of ENQA): Albania, Croatia, Slovenia, The Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia Explanation: Bodies that do not wish to, or for whatever reason are unable to, apply to become members of ENQA may request associate or affiliate status within ENQA. An Associate body will be a bona fide organisation or agency with a demonstrable interest in the quality assurance of higher education. An Affiliate body will be a network of bona fide quality assurance agencies or other bona fide umbrella organisation concerned with the quality assurance of higher education. * (as listed on the ENQA and CEE network web pages)
