2. DEFINITION Prodcom is a cut-off survey which includes data :
the physical volume of production sold during the survey period
the value of production sold during the survey period

3. FRAME
The Statistical Business Register (SBR) is the main source for maintaining the sampling frame of business surveys
Enterprises employing more than 10 employees having the primary activity or one secondary activity are contacted to provide data
Final results is about 3200 to 3500 enterprises that are surveyed

6. METHOD OF DATA COLLECTION
The data are only collected via a web application (CAWI)
A first round of data collection is done in period from to 15.06
The data are checked and enterprises may receive a request of correction/confirmation/addition of data before mid-June
The response rate is about 98%

8. PROCESSING
When data are collected they are compared with other sources:
Correspondence with monthly declaration for enterprises of 20+ employees that are reporting in the monthly industrial survey
Comparison of unit values
Comparison with previous year
Comparison with FINA (Financial Agency)
Comparison with the Customs Tariff Export Declaration

9. DATA PROCESSING AND QUALITY ASSURANCE
The data processing system implements an integrated and consistent approach to the data collection and validation.
2. Quality Assurance
Various validation checks are possible with the data production system to detect anomalies. The enterprises are contacted in order to correct possible errors.

3. Missing data
If enterprises have not answered within requested deadline, they receive 2 reminders.
If no response is given then the enterprises are called.
If no answer could be obtained then manual imputation is done.

11. PROCESSING ERRORS Logical checks
checking coherence at a single product level by comparing the value of different indicators for a given variable
checking coherence between different variables
checking coherence between monthly/annual data
checking coherence with external sources
there are also cases where some micro data are individually checked by the statisticians on the basis of their experience and information about the individual unit and the economic branch concerned

12. NON-RESPONSE ERRORS There are two types of non-response :
"unit non-response“ – the sampled unit that is contacted may fail to respond
"item non-response”- the sampled unit may respond incompletely to the questionnaire
No imputation or estimation methods should be applied for new observation units.
