2 Unit 2 Kahoot review In groups of 2-5 students Go online to Kahoot.it
Use the following ID: Register your team name on Kahoot Enter your Kahoot team name on the attendance sheet Teams with the highest scores will have priority for registering for conferences

3 Conference registration
Enter your name at the desired conference time Pay attention to the conference location; there will be different locations available on different days Bring a printed copy of your essay to the conference If you miss your conference, you are not guaranteed a makeup spot

4 WTI – Informative essay development
WTI Final Draft Due date extended to Tuesday 3-27 at midnight We will continue editing and developing the essay in our EGL class, but out ENC class will move on to evaluative writing this week

5 Group activity – document design review
In groups of 2-5 students Share the WTI drafts you brought to class. View the multimedia and document design features used in each essay and answer the following questions Who has the “best” main picture or video for their essay? What makes it the “best”? Whose essay has the best document design features that help their essay look like an authentic website? What additional features have they included that accomplish this?

6 Group activity – WTI peer review
Share your WTI draft with one other student and answer the following questions: What is the student’s hook? Which rhetorical appeal(s) does it use? What is the student’s thesis? Does the essay utilize a soft lead, hard lead, or buried lead strategy? How many quotes are given as evidence in the article? Who are the sources for each quote? Aside from the thesis, what is the most important or interesting written element in the essay? Where does this occur in the essay? On a scale of 1-5, how formal is the essay? Does it break any of the formality rules we discussed last class?

7 Homework WTI Draft 3 Due Thursday 3-22
words (including works cited but not including images and advertisements) Submitted to Turnitin.com before 9:30 class time Must include works cited page to receive a passing grade
