2. TCOLE Audits
TCOLE is auditing agencies to ensure proper paperwork and background investigations have been completed
Failure to have proof of these items will result in the Telecommunicator being removed immediately, and may result in their license being revoked

3. Minimum Enrollment Standards
High school diploma or equivalent
If neither of these are available, college transcript is acceptable
Honorable discharge from the military
This must be checked after every deployment
Must be 18 years of age
Is fingerprinted and subject to a search of local, state, and US National records and fingerprint files
TCIC requires this within 30 days

4. Minimum Enrollment Standards
Must be a US Citizen
Acceptable proof includes:
Passport
Passport Card
Certified Birth Certificate
Naturalization Papers

5. Minimum Enrollment Standards
May not have a Class B Misdemeanor within the last 10 years
Waiver available after 5 in certain circumstances
May not have a Class A Misdemeanor EVER
Waiver available for certain circumstances
This includes Class A and B Deferred Adjudication
May not have conviction for any family violence offense

6. Minimum Enrollment Standards
A student may not be enrolled in any licensing class if they have charges pending which may result in a conviction of a:
Class A Misdemeanor
Class B Misdemeanor
Family Violence Offense

7. Minimum Enrollment Standards
Has been subject to a background investigation
TCOLE has a Personal History Statement template available
Has been examined by a Physician, Physician’s Assistant, or Nurse Practitioner
For Telecommunicators they only need a drug screen

8. Minimum Enrollment Standards
Must be examined by a Psychologist or Psychiatrist, licensed in the state of Texas
Must be provided a job description before the testing
Must administer two separate tests
Must speak with the candidate after administering the tests

9. Minimum Enrollment Standards
These are only MINIMUMS
Agencies may choose to have stricter requirements

10. TC911 Requirements
Must provide letter signed by agency administrator indicating background check has been performed
Must provide copies L1, L2, L3
Proof of Citizenship
Proof of Education
Military Discharge Papers if applicable
Proof of successfully passing TCOLE 1305 Rules Test
THIS DOCUMENTATION MUST BE RECEIVED 1 WEEK BEFORE CLASS BEGINS
MUST BE COMPLETE AND CORRECT TO BE ACCEPTED
