2 What Do We Believe In? Our Students Each Other BISD
We have the greatest jobs, because what we do matters. Education changes the trajectory of students lives. EDUCATORS!, Leadership is more about RELATIONSHIPS than anything else. The success of our organization depends on the relationship between me and the Board, Cabinet/Directors, Directors/Principals, Principals/teachers (most important according to Whitaker) teachers/students, campus/parents-community. Imperative to set up systems to connect students to adults- either staff or community. We have to believe it for it to happen. Not have to see it to believe it, we have to believe it for it to happen. Do you believe it is going to be a great year? 2. Believe in each other- Must strive to have characteristics of a high performing teams. Great teams have a culture driven by great leaders. Great teams become interdependent, because is a trust that is developed that we can depend on each. other. 3. We must believe in the district. We have to create a culture of service. We have to live with a servant heart. It is important to market, brag, sell the impact that we as a district are having with our students. We have to tell our stories! and we have to believe it’s going to be a great year!
