2. Universal Studios May 4th 7:00pm-12:00am
Early entry as early as 4pm
Park Exclusive to 8th graders begins at 7pm
Charter bus leaves Carver: 2pm-2:00am (Returns)
10:1 student to chaperone ratio
Students stay with chaperone all night
Students choose chaperone by what they are interested in doing

3. Chaperones Must be level 2 volunteer
Application is on the school district website
If all 8th graders attend that will be a total of 25 parents/teachers needed as chaperones.
First come first picked
Please contact Mrs. Clark if you are interested
Must stay with students at all times

4. Cost $120 per student (chaperones are free, unless you want a t-shirt)
Two parks
Universal Studios
Islands of Adventure
Transportation Fee for Chartered Bus
Meal ticket
T-shirt

5. Fundraising (Need a total of $30,000 for all 8th graders to attend)
To lower the cost for all
To offer scholarships for those who need it
Lower cost for all to attend
Perhaps could cover the buses ($6,690 for 5 buses)
Maybe cover the cost of the t-shirts ($2, 250 for 250 shirts)
Writing contest
Raffles
Tickets could be “bought” with good grades on report cards/Carver bucks
Teachers have already come forward to offer scholarships to students!
Open to suggestions
Possible monies added to student accounts for hours spent helping run a fundraising event

6. To be qualified to go…
Attendance-No more than 5 unexcused absences from December 1st until May 4th.
Must attend school on May 4th. Can not show up right before departure time.
Behavior-Students with 2 or more suspensions after spring break will not be allowed to go.

Permission slips will be handed out to those who make the first payment
January 12th - 2nd payment of $30
All permission slips must be turned in by this time
February 2nd - 3rd payment of $30
March 2nd - Last payment of $30
April - Choose chaperones
May 4th - Go to Universal!!!
