5. How Much Are You Like Your Father?
What have you inherited from your father?
Can you think of people who are the “spitting image” of their parents?
Do you act like your father?
Do you have your father’s character or temperament?

6. If you could choose your father, who would you choose?
Would it be because of the characteristics that he has?
Or because of the way he treats you?

7. Our world is having a “fatherhood” crisis.
Many fathers are “absent”.
Not all earthly fathers are worthy of imitation.

8. Romans 8: Therefore, brothers, we have an obligation—but it is not to the sinful nature, to live according to it.

In the present context the verb may mean either “to bear witness with” or else “to confirm another’s witness.” Most translators take it in the former sense. In some languages this meaning of “bearing witness with” may be translated as “God’s Spirit says at the same time with our spirits” or “God’s Spirit and our spirits both say.”
