Purpose Increase awareness of Transitional Assistance Management Program (TAMP) Identify Tricare like benefits available to service members

Transitional? Provided for a limited time 180 days
Gives SVM time to apply for: Tricare Reserve Select (TRS) Other medical insurance

Eligibility Not automatic! SVM must update DEERS information
Contact local ID card facility Locations on DEERS website

Requirements Involuntarily separated W/ qualifying SPD code
Reservist on AD > 30 days Invol. Separations retained on AD for operations Agreed to extend, but separated on sole survivorship discharge Must agree to SELRES IF no qualifying SPD code-work w/ reserve unit

TRICARE PRIME Dis-enrolled at EAOS
Contact Prime regional manager/service center for continued coverage Will remain covered when reenrolled Default to Tricare Standard Plan Wizard! Specified Benefits for SVM Plan finder

Health Insurance Market Place
Find coverage for uninsured Tricare= covered under healthcare law Dependent coverage, if can’t be covered by TRICARE or VA benefits

Dental Coverage Provided on space available basis, 180 days after separation Extremely limited Received care w/I 90 days of EAOS, no dental care once separated One time dental care

Community Based Warrior Transition Units (CBWTUS)
Soldiers live at home, recuperate, while on AD Provides high quality of health Can perform duties close to home and family Evaluated by PEB if not found physically fit at the end of recuperation period. Retainablity Disability eligibility

Retirees Begins the day you retire Submit request 90 days prior
Dependents remain eligible To continue coverage: Must enroll by retirement date Will default to space only coverage

Prime- enroll, annual fee (available in certain areas) Select- enroll, no fee (continental U.S.) US family health Plan- Tricare Prime option Young Adult- enroll, monthly premium Available w/ Prime or Select plans Over 65: Tricare for Life: wrap around coverage option

Survivor Benefits Family members entitled Served > 30 days
Pays claims at active duty payment rate Survivor claims at the retiree rate Transitional survivors No enrollment fees/co-pay Will pay cost shares and deductibles

Continued Health Care Benefits Program (CHCBP)
Extends coverage due to loss of benefits Covers: The SVM Former spouses who have not remarried Children who lose coverage Voluntary Separations: Not eligible to use MTF or Tricare Eligible for CHCBP up to 18 months Apply up to 60 days after separation
