Community context and planning. Community action and intervention. Community and system change. Risk and protective factors and widespread behavior change. Improving more distant outcomes.

Hopes and expectations. Job and family demands. Problems. Financial resources. The community’s reaction. The broader political and social context.

Community Change: Developing a new program (or modifying an existing one), bringing about a change in policy, or adjusting a practice related to the group’s mission.

Affect community health and development through:
Targeted mission. Action planning. Changes in leadership. Resources for community mobilizers. Documentation and feedback. Technical assistance. Making outcomes matter.
