Rationale for Using Virtual Libraries to Teach Information Literacy
Virtual libraries are the most effective way to deliver information. Resources can be assessed simultaneously by many students 24/7 (Craver, 2002) Allows remote access Keeps research at the forefront of student achievement

Advantages of teaching information literacy using the virtual library
Team teaching of online courses. Students get benefits of teacher/media specialist collaboration. Planning is easier when all information is located together in one location/domain. Can provide appropriate services for students as well as educators.
