41 Scientific Skills Review
Apply key vocabulary words with the Multiple Intelligence Experiment. *independent and dependent variables *qualitative and quantitative data *accurate and precise data

42 Scientific Skills Review-Hmwk.
Apply key vocabulary words with the Multiple Intelligence Experiment. *independent and dependent variables *qualitative and quantitative data *accurate and precise data Look up vocab and make necessary changes to your answers.

43 Chemistry I: Pre-Test Purpose:
-Evaluate background knowledge of my students. -To evaluate student progress by comparing pre-Test with post-Test.

44 Multiple Intelligence: Experimental Variables
What was the variables in this experiment? Independent variable? Dependent Variable?

45 Experimental Variables
Independent variable variable “I” control in the experiment. Always plot on x-axis Dependent Variable variable depends on the independent variable Always plot on y-axis

46 Multiple Intelligence: Experimental Data
What kind of data was collected in this expt.? Qualitative Data: Quantitative Data:

47 Multiple Intelligence: Experimental Data
Qualitative Data: -Data observed thru our senses -Subjective data, opinionated -Arguable data Quantitative Data: -Measured data -Numerical data -Not subjective data. -Cannot be argued.

48 Analyzing Quantitative Data
Was your data precise, accurate, neither, or both? Precise? Accurate?

49 Data: Accuracy vs. Precision
Accurate Results: -When you compare your data with an actual value. -When your experimental data is equal to the actual value. -Experimental data hits the bulls-eye. Precise Results: -When you compare your experimental data with one another from several experimental trials. -When your experimental data from several trials is close to one another. Experimental data is repeatable.
