2 INQUIRY- A QUESTION THAT IS ASKED ABOUT SOMETHING EXAMPLE: WHY IS THE SKY BLUE?

3 ACCURATE- CORRECT EXAMPLE: YOU WANT YOUR MEASUREMENTS TO BE ACCURATE.

4 PREDICT- TO MAKE A GOOD GUESS EXAMPLE: I PREDICT IT WILL RAIN TODAY.

5 EVIDENCE- IS INFORMATION COLLECTED IN A SCIENTIFIC INQUIRY
EVIDENCE- IS INFORMATION COLLECTED IN A SCIENTIFIC INQUIRY. EXAMPLE: THE FOOTPRINTS WERE EVIDENCE AT THE CRIME SCENE.

Opinion: is a personal belief that is not based on facts. Example: In my opinion blue is the best color there is.

11 Investigate-to discover the facts or what is true about something
Investigate-to discover the facts or what is true about something. Example: I need to investigate where the ants are coming from.

12 TRAIT-a characteristic or feature of a plant or animal

13 ADAPTATION-a trait that helps a living thing survive There are 2 kinds: 1. Physical (how they look) 2. behavioral (what they do or how they behave)

14 SURVIVE-to stay alive

15 REPRODUCE-to produce new living things

16 REGION-a specific area on a map

17 HABITAT- the natural home of an animal or plant

18 Environment- everything that is around a living thing.

19 Ecosystem-living and non-living things that interact in a place.

20 Organism-a living thing.

21 Camouflage- to blend in with your surroundings

22 Hibernation-to be in a deep sleep for a long period of time

23 Migration- to travel from one place to another and back again for survival

24 Mimicry-being able to resemble another animal or object
