Operations Planning Committee Train: staff and faculty on budget and funding processes Develop: rubric for grading resource requests Rank: resource requests based on graded rubric

Create and improve on rubric used to rank resource requests Bring rubric to PaRC for discussion and approval Update spreadsheet (what got funded, what didn’t)

Bring folks up to speed on current budget Have VP’s come to OPC to explain rankings of resource requests

Need Deans’ and VPs’ rankings in order to proceed Rank resource requests using rubric

Process for ranking resource requests
Step 1: Departments complete program reviews Step 2: Deans and division rank resource requests (high, medium, low) Step 3: VP’s rank resource requests (high, medium, low) Step 4: Finance office categorizes funding requests (one-time b-budget, lottery, etc…) Cont’d next slide

Step 5: OPC ranks b-budget/facilities/re- assigned time resource requests (high, medium, low) – OPC only ranks the resource requests rated as high by the VP’s Step 6: OPC recommendations/rankings sent to PaRC for discussion and approval Step 7: President makes the decision on funding
