We read two novels this year…
To Kill a Mockingbird is a novel by Harper Lee published in 1960. It won the Pulitzer Prize and it has become a classic of modern American literature. It deals with serious issues such as rape, racial injustice and prejudice.

We watched the film. Our Impressions…
Seeing how colored people were treated back then made me realize that the world in our days hasn’t changed a lot and definitely gave me the motivation to defend people’s rights unconditionally! Anna-Maria

Atticus taught me not to be afraid to stand up for myself and to make a difference in the world. And for that, I admire him… Yeap, even if he’s just a fictional character! It deals with themes such as teenage anxiety and alienation. The language the protagonist uses is colloquial and full of slang.

Today was boring as hell at school. Our teacher blah blah surprised us with a pop quiz and that killed me. It really did. Not only that but when I got home my parents were lousy and they gave me crap about not studying hard enough and all. It really got on my nerves. Goddamn, don’t even mention them to me!
