Attendance Attendance is required.
Punctuality is important. Do not plan to go to work at your part-time job during a class or a lab. Attendance List - You must sign it every class. There is also a separate attendance list for tardy (=late) students. Religious holidays Students are required to inform all teachers within the first two weeks of the term. Behaviour & Conduct Don’t interrupt or disrupt the class or the lesson. Late arrivals must sign the attendance sheet and be seated quietly without talking or otherwise disrupting anybody. Disruptions. It is disrupting for everyone in the class if a student talks, stands, walks around the classroom, or leaves the classroom. Electronics, Eating, Noises, Walking around (Arriving late, Leaving early), etc. See “Disruption” chart slide. Automatic warning: Walking around the classroom, Leaving the class Plan ahead. Do what you have to do before coming to class. If you have a medical problem, please discuss your needs with your teachers. Talking in class. If someone talks to you during the lesson, ignore that person completely. If that person persists on talking, raise your hand. This will signal that you are not the guilty party. Penalties Warning Warning #2 or #3 Ejection from the class.
Don’t interrupt or disrupt the class or the lesson. Warning Automatic warning: Walking around, Leaving the class Warning #2 or #3 Meeting after class - (Required, if you were warned more than once) Marks deducted – (automatically) Extra marks deducted if you don’t stay and meet your teacher after class. Ejection from the class. Do not argue. Leave quietly. Wait outside the classroom until your teacher goes to talk to you or until the end of class so that you can go to talk to your teacher.
