Pharmacologic treatment of lower urinary tract symptoms/benign prostatic hyperplasia (LUTS/BPH) via transperineal injection of botulinum toxin A (BoNTA). Patients who were refractory to medical treatment were treated with either 100U (prostate size <30ml, n=21) or 200U (prostate size >30ml, n=20) [37]. Significant improvements from baseline (all p<0.05 vs. baseline) after 1 yr were demonstrated in International Prostate Symptom Score (IPSS) and maximum flow rate (Qmax).
