26 C A G Audit para (P.A. – 13 of 2008) Enrollment for MDM were more than those reported in the SSA. Inaccuracy in data since SSA covers unaided schools also (para ) Drop out rate had increased. (10.1.3) Health checks were not conducted in10% of the selected schools (para 10.2) Inspections (25 % of schools every quarter) were carried out only in 53% of the test-checked schools. (para 12.2) Essential records for accounting were not maintained (para 12.2)

27 Contd.. Micronutrients and supplements were partially administered (less than 30%) [para 12.3] Significant disruption in providing cooked meal to the children was noticed. (para-16.1) Mismatch in utilization of food grains and utilization of was noticed. (Annexure-VIII) (para 17.1). Nodal agencies claimed transportation charges in excess of actual leading to an excess claim during (para 20) Deficiencies relating to Kitchen Sheds, Kitchen devices and facility of clean drinking water were noticed (para-23)

In Kanker district Children are not provided with micronutrients and devorming medicines. In Kanker district In few schools cooking is done either under a tree or in the verandah. In Kanker district Children are not washing their hands before food. In Bastar district Kitchen shed in Jadgalpur municipal area has not been constructed in schools by Municipal Corporation. In Bastar district In M.S. Titarvan, Block, Bederajpur, the MDM scheme has not been started upto
