Navigation Acts 1. all goods had to be shipped on ships made in England 2. could only trade certain products, such as tobacco, cotton, sugar, etc. with England.

Navigation Acts all trade goods had to pass through English ports where duties (taxes) were added. England claimed acts were good for England. Results: 1. many colonists wanted more freedom to buy and sell products. 2. smuggling increased such as: sugar, molasses and rum.
