2 School Supply Update PARCC Blue Ribbon Contest! Spring Break
Spring is a great time of the year for students to replenish any school supplies they may need for the classroom to get them through the end of the year. This time of year students tend to run out of pencils, erasers, glue, etc. Classroom donations are always appreciated. Wipes, tissues, band-aids, extra pencils, and hand sanitizer are always some needed classroom supplies! PARCC The PARCC assessment will take place on April 18th through April 24th! Students will be taking the PARCC assessment in the mornings and will return to the classroom for a normal afternoon. All of our specials such as gym and art will be moved to the afternoon. We will take Language Arts Literacy first and then move into math. We will review the PARCC website as a class about a week before. Please feel free to visit the PARCC website below for practice tests and other information! Blue Ribbon Contest! Our Blue Ribbon Contest on Study Island is still going on until May 1st! Our class is currently in 2nd place! Keep earning those Blue Ribbons – you are doing GREAT! Snack Reminder Just a reminder that students have snack every afternoon. Please be sure to pack a small and nutritious snack. Some students have been forgetting to bring snack. We do not keep any extra snacks in the classroom and although the nurse has some small snacks, that is for emergencies. We will no longer be sending students to the nurse if they forget a snack! Spring Break Spring break is March 30th through April 4th! School will reopen on Thursday, April 5th & Friday, April 6th to make up Snow Days! Reminder these are ½ Days and students should bring a snack! There is no homework assigned over Spring Break so students can rest and have fun with their families! Students are encouraged to continue earning those Blue Ribbons on Study Island and to work on their Fiction Book Reports which are due April 17th! Have a wonderful Spring Break!
