Class will make notes in their Bell Work books and use the word in a sentence. A running list will be kept. Students will be given a quote, question, or picture prompt. They will respond in their Bell Work books to the associated questions. Students will be given a fraction. For the fraction they will find: an equivalent, a percent, a decimal, and a real word application. Mrs. Smith

Re-write these fixed mindset statements as growth mindset statements.
Mindset Monday Re-write these fixed mindset statements as growth mindset statements. I’m not good at this. My abilities determine everything. I have to get good grades. This will never work. I hate challenges. I don’t like when others succeed. Why do I even bother? I don’t make mistakes. My first plan didn’t work. This needs to be perfect. What grade did I get? I give up! I need to be perfect. I just can’t do math! I’m not good enough. This is too hard! He/She is telling me what to do. Final reflection: It’s good enough. What advice would you give to someone who has a fixed mindset about their learning? I’ll never be as smart as him. I don’t want to try. I’m the only one who needs help. Ididn’t want “that” anyway. He/She is better than me. I can’t make this better. I’m not worth it. I made mistakes. I’m either good at it, or I’m not. That didn’t work. I’m the best. When I fail, I’m no good. I have to succeed Mrs. Smith
