23 Inspire participation in clubs, centres and marinas
Inspire existing sailors to get involved/feel the excitement of and celebrate the Olympics either on or off the water. RYA providing a framework of on and off the water activities for clubs TC’s and marinas. Over 300 clubs have signed up so far Profile of sport has never been so high so lets use this opportunity to get more people out on the water.

24 Celebrate our past and present successes
Our Sporting Life – Sail for Gold Exhibition Come and see it at the London Boat Show, RYA Scotland Big Conference, Crosby Lakeside Adventure Centre – Liverpool, RYA Dinghy Show, NMMC Falmouth and Weymouth Celebrate any successes in your sailing club and follow the team. Will help to inspire young people!

25 Support and spectate the British Sailing Team
Leads to – How to get involved… Online weblinks available to upload onto your club website to make it easy for your members to keep up to date with what the British Sailing Team are up to. They will be linked to the latest regatta website or the RYA support crew website. Watch the Olympic and Paralympic sailing events in your clubhouse. Encourage members and clients to watch. They will feel inspired to get out on the water after watching the sailors!

26 Push the Boat Out – 21 July 2012 Get as many boats out on the water as possible Create an amazing spectacle Wave a Union Jack to wish the team Good Luck!! Use 2012 Sail for Gold kits Use online Sail for Gold event pack to promote your event

27 Sail for Gold ‘have a go’ sessions
Don’t forget to let RDO know the date of your Have a Go day for the regional flyer! 5th of December Sail for Gold ‘have a go’ sessions Part of your clubs normal open day or a separate event Recommend holding them on the key dates: 9 June Skandia Sail for Gold Regatta medal race day 21 July Push the Boat Out day During or after the London 2012 Games period Sail for Gold kits and online resources to enhance sessions Poster, press release, certificate..
