2. Adding Whole Numbers
Place numbers in increasing order vertically (in columns), align right
Add the two digits in the ones position
If the result is a single digit bring it down
If the result is a double digit bring down the ones position and carry the tens position to the next column.
Repeat step 2 for the tens, hundreds, etc.
Don’t forget the carried over digit.
