These led to the creation of modern day Israel because after all of the scattering and persecution they faced they wanted a safe place to live where they could practice their religion together in the land they believe was given to them by God.

29. 7. Cause of conflict
Conflict is about who owns/controls the land of Israel. Both groups believe the land was given to them by God. Currently, Israel governs the land. Palestinians believe the land was wrongly taken away from them by the UN in Israelis have continued to conquer more land and build more settlements on land that does not belong to them. Palestinians protest against this. Terrorist attacks prevail to get land and country rights back for the Palestinians.

Israel needs a strong military because it is surrounded by enemies. It needs to protect itself from enemy neighbor attacks and terrorism.
