CTE-26 CTE-26 Forms are completed in a District’s Safe Account.
You will need to go to the Ohio Department of Education’s Website and Log in to your Safe Account or see your curriculum director. In order to have access the CTE-26 forms you would need to have permissions titled: Director-Curriculum/Instructional Services the Safe Account CTE-26’s greatly impact Course or Weighted Funding
12
Funding Two major types of funding
Student Funding (Non-Weighted Funding) – funding received per student CTE Course Funding (Weighted Funding) – Funding received based on students in specific courses.
13
CTE-26 Renewal System
14
CTE-26 Renewal Schedule is very important because…..
You need to make sure that your CTE-26’s remain up to date It is very easy to apply for a CTE-26 and think you are good for five years If your career field has a program renewal year scheduled for the following year then the five years is no longer valid and the you will need to reapply for the CTE-26 in March of the specified Program Renewal Year. The application process for 2020 will tentatively begin November 1st The lead district will need to approve the application by March 1st The completed application will need submitted by March 15th
15
You can find this schedule on the ODE Website
16

Subject Code & Teacher License Check
So you have a fantastic Business Program thought up. It’s perfect for Business and Industry Needs – Highly Employable You have picked subject material- codes and hired a teacher licensed in Marketing (S5) You find out that only two of the courses will receive weighted funding because the teacher is Marketing Certified (S5) not Business Administrative (C4) Both Teacher License Areas allow the teaching of Business Foundations & Management Principles But Global Logistics and Supply Chain Management is only approved under a Business Administrative (C4) certification

Bonus Section Follow Up Data
CTPD’s are responsible for information reported by homeschools for courses that are ran by the Home School but CTE approved. Be sure to meet with your homeschools that have these programs to ensure they are accurately reporting test results and follow up data. I meet with my CTPD at our ITC in February. Follow up data on students is reported in the Flat File Editor or FFE File. Students are surveyed during the 6 months following Graduation. Best Practices for follow up data (Group Discussion)
