3 The News All must: be able to recognise a form of media telling the news. Most should: be able to look at pictures in the news and guess what they are about. Some could: be able to select a piece of news that interests them.

8 Task: –To use 1 of the types of media to find a piece of news for the news board. –To pretend to be a news reporter and feedback a piece of news.

They accepted the concept well and by the end of the lesson they were beginning to understand the difference between local, national and international. Many watched the news and knew some stories which were in the news that week. Concentrated on local news and many wanted to look at LCFC. They enjoyed looking through the papers and all could state where we would find news by the end of the lesson.
