How Does God Forgive? Willingly
Neh. 9:16-17: 16“But they and our fathers acted proudly, Hardened their necks, And did not heed Your commandments. 17They refused to obey, And they were not mindful of Your wonders That You did among them. But they hardened their necks, And in their rebellion They appointed a leader To return to their bondage. But You are God, Ready to pardon, Gracious and merciful, Slow to anger, Abundant in kindness, And did not forsake them. 11/27/2018

Early Christians Had to Forgive Without Reservation:
Mary had to forgive some who crucified her Son. Early Christians had to forgive Saul of Tarsus even though he persecuted them. We need to remember how much we have been forgiven. Matt. 18:21-35; Objection: God can forgive anything, but I cannot! 11/27/2018

God Forgives Conditionally:
But God grants forgiveness only when a sinner meets His conditions of pardon 2 Chr. 7:14: 14if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. Isa. 55:7: 7Let the wicked forsake his way, And the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the Lord, And He will have mercy on him; And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon. 11/27/2018
