1 An animal model of arrhythmogenesis in congestive heart failure
Gordon L Pierpont, Douglas D Hodgkin, Charles C Gornick  Pathophysiology  Volume 7, Issue 3, Pages (September 2000) DOI: /S (00)

2 Fig. 1 Examples of inducible ventricular arrhythmias of progressive severity. NS, nonspecific response; RR, repetitive ventricular response; NVTa and NVTb, continuous recordings of an episode of non-sustained ventricular tachycardia; VTa through VTd, continuous recordings of (sustained) ventricular tachycardia terminated by overdrive pacing; VF, ventricular fibrillation. Pathophysiology 2000 7, DOI: ( /S (00) )

3 Fig. 2 Summary diagram showing the response of six control dogs (upper panel) and 12 congestive heart failure dogs (CHF, lower panel) to extra-stimulus testing. The most severe arrhythmia induced at each study is plotted according to progressive severity on the vertical axis. A dotted line connects the results for each dog for the bi-weekly studies from study 0 (the first study, prior to rapid pacing for the CHF dogs) up to the time their arrhythmia progressed or they reached study number 12. Each dog is represented three times on the graph, according the baseline response without therapy (B), the response during esmolol infusion (E), and during isoproterenol infusion (I). Pathophysiology 2000 7, DOI: ( /S (00) )
