Get more people active at every stage of their lives: while they are at school, when they leave education, when they get a job, if they have a family of their own and when they retire.
Provide children with the best start in life by helping schools to teach them the skills and give them the knowledge, motivation and confidence to be, and stay, active.
Invest effort and resources where it is needed most, where there are significant variations in participation and where there is a lack of opportunity or aspiration to be active.
Help sport to continue to nurture, develop and support talent to deliver success that inspires people and reinforces our identity as a sporting nation.
In October 2017 the Welsh Government asked Sport Wales to develop a future vision for sport in Wales.
This vision is for everybody in Wales. It’s not a vision for Sport Wales the organisation.

In creating the vision we had to take account of the public policy context.
This included making sure that the vision for sport in Wales reflected the Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act 2015.
Wrth greu’r weledigaeth roedd rhaid i ni ystyried y cyd-destun polisi cyhoeddus.
Roedd hyn yn cynnwys gwneud yn siŵr bod y weledigaeth ar gyfer chwaraeon yng Nghymru’n adlewyrchu Deddf Llesiant Cenedlaethau’r Dyfodol (Cymru) 2015.

7. MY WELSH SPORT_THE CONVERSATION CHWARAEON A FI_Y SGWRS
To create the vision, Sport Wales facilitated a national conversation about the future of sport in Wales.
Over 600 people took part in this conversation, representing a wide range different organisations. An analysis of their views has been published as a report.
Er mwyn creu’r weledigaeth, hwylusodd Chwaraeon Cymru sgwrs genedlaethol am ddyfodol chwaraeon yng Nghymru.
Cymerodd mwy na 600 o bobl ran yn y sgwrs hon, gan gynrychioli amrywiaeth eang o wahanol sefydliadau. Mae dadansoddiad o’u safbwyntiau wedi cael ei gyhoeddi fel adroddiad.

Active nation – The vision is to create an active nation. We want as many people as possible to be inspired to be active through sport.
Everyone – The vision is for everyone. From people who don’t see themselves as sporty to people who win medals.
Lifelong– The vision is for life, it responds to the needs of people at different stages of their life.
Enjoyment –The vision focuses on creating a wide range of positive experiences so everyone can enjoy sport.
Cenedl egnïol – Y weledigaeth yw creu cenedl egnïol. Rydyn ni eisiau i gymaint o bobl â phosib gael eu hysbrydoli i fod yn egnïol drwy chwaraeon.
Pawb – Mae’r weledigaeth ar gyfer pawb. O bobl nad ydynt yn gweld eu hunain fel pobl sy’n dda mewn chwaraeon i bobl sy’n ennill medalau.
