How?

The PRIDE Values Award is being introduced in every school in Kent to celebrate the achievements of pupils who have demonstrated through their work in school or across the community, one or more of the Olympic and Paralympic values. In every school in Kent the search is on for pupils to be nominated to be awarded Bronze, Silver or Gold medals. Every Gold Medal winner will have the opportunity of holding the London 2012 Olympic Gold Torch.

How can you be nominated to receive a Bronze, Silver or Gold medal ?
Staff will nominate you based on how you have performed or helped in one or more of the following ways:- (please adapt for your school) Work across the curriculum (not just sport!) Leadership and volunteering Helping to plan and deliver school events Overcoming personal adversity

Who will be awarded Certificates?
From all those nominated, some will be short listed to receive a PRIDE Values Award Certificate

When will we know who are the Medal Winners?
Medal winners will be chosen from the group who were awarded certificates. Announcement of the medal winners will take place at the end of term in a special assembly to celebrate the London 2012 Games.

If I am a Gold Medal winner when will I be able to hold the Olympic Gold Torch?
All Gold Medal winners will go to a District Celebration Event next term where they will be photographed holding the London 2012 Gold Olympic Torch. If I win a Gold Medal at the Kent School Games will I be able to hold the Olympic Torch as well? YES all Kent School Games Gold Medal winners will be invited to the same event and will also be photographed holding the London 2012 Gold Olympic Torch.
