3 Fabrication Plan

4 Pre-Flight Testing Sandbag wing Cycle landing gear Drop test
Verify CG location Check all surfaces for warps Check all controls for range of motion / binding Radio range check Tests conducted as parts are completed and installed

5 Flight Test Plan Low/Hi-speed taxi tests
Familiarize pilot with ground handling characteristics; crew with aircraft operations Flight 1A – 1x: Unpowered glide test series Familiarize pilot with glide characteristics Validate chosen CG location Preliminary validation of control authority

6 Flight Test Plan Flight 2: 1st Powered Flight (outdoors)
Demonstrate sustained powered flight Straight and turning flight Gear will not be retracted; gyro will not be used Flight 3: Envelope expansion (outdoors) Evaluate corrections to Flight 2 deficiencies Cycle landing gear Power-off and power-on stalls Flight with conservative feedback gain

7 Flight Test Plan Flight 4A – 4x: Final shakedown (indoors / outdoors)
Evaluate corrections to Flight 2 and 3 deficiencies Tune gyro gain to desired value Flight 5: Demonstrate design mission (indoors) Fly mission as described in DR&O
