7. Prepositions
Before we look at page 33 part 2, let’s think about prepositions.
Prepositions are small words that tell us a lot of information. They tell us how two nouns or pronouns (e.g. it) are connected.
At, in and on talk about places. But they are a little different.
AT: a general place, like school, work and home. He is at work.
IN: a spot inside a bigger space. My phone is in my bag.
ON: touching the side of something. My phone is on the TV.

8. Prepositions There are other prepositions.
WITH: one thing goes with another thing. I like coffee with cream.
FOR: when talking about food and meals. I had pizza for lunch.
OF: when talking about food and drink, tells us the amount (how much). I had two glasses of wine.
Let’s practice. Look at the pictures and answer the question with a preposition.
