If we do not find a solution to this water crisis, millions of people will not have clean water!

60% of the human body is water
70% of the earth is covered in water
97% of that water is salt water
2% of that water is frozen in glaciers
1% is fresh, drinkable water
Many people lack access basic sanitation and access to clean water

There are seven billion people on earth
1 out of 8 has to go out everyday to find clean water
1 out of 6 do not have access to a toilet
Everyday women and children have to go find water
Can only take what they can carry
Often has bacteria

The human body can survive THREE days without water
Many children have the responsibility of have to go gather water instead of going to school or getting a job to help their families

8. The Problem
There is a global water crisis. Clean water is not accessible to everyone. In many places around the world there are dangerous levels of substances that are harmful to organisms.

9. Task
As global citizens, it is our responsibility to educate ourselves and others about the seriousness of this problem!
Your class will be divided into groups of 2-3. Each group is responsible for researching the causes and possible solutions for the water crisis.
