2. The CIS 2002-2004:The economic drafting groups
Two drafting groups have been created:
DG eco 1 dealing with « horizontal issues »
DG eco 2 dealing with “environmental and resource costs”

The tasks
Three practical information sheets needed to be produced for 2004 requirements , they were dealing with:
Characterisation
Baseline
Cost recovery
For each of these three subjects an IS has been delivered. These IS have been disseminated by for remarks to WG2B members since the February 13

Some members of it could participate in the drafting group dealing with program of measures (especially for cost effectiveness)

5. DG eco 1 the results The three IS (no guidance document):
About 15 pages for each IS
Focusing on how to do, for practitioners at river basin scale
Presenting a lot of examples coming from different countries
Proposing pragmatic approaches in order to solve remaining issues in the short term (scale, data availability): expert judgment, proxies,…
The IS have been presented at SCG meeting on march 15 they are available on CIRCA
The IS will are presented on April 22 and 23 during the meeting of WG2B in Madrid before validation and dissemination according to CIS process
