3. I. Be Watchful
Colossians 4:2-3 Devote yourself to prayer, being watchful and thankful. And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains. Watchful for what? Opportunities Matthew 6:10 God’s will 1 Tim 2:3-4

4. II. Be Listening
Romans 8:26-27 The Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God. Gal 5:16 Walk by the Spirit. Gal 5:18 Be led by the Spirit. Gal 5:25 Keep in step with the Spirit.

5. III. Be Expectant
Daniel 9:4-19 Daniel gives glory and praise to God. v. 4 Daniel confesses his and his people’s sins. v. 5-7 Daniel calls to mind God’s promises. v Daniel asks God to act. v. 19 Lord, listen! Lord, forgive! Lord, hear and act! For your sake, my God, do not delay, because your city and your people bear your name.

Set up a group all night or late night prayer in the next 2-3 weeks. Be watchful. Be listening. Be expectant. Group activity: Pray!
