Where? In our office, a mutually agreed location, or over Skype.
We do not pay travel expenses, but should the client expect you to travel a long distance regularly, please discuss with OA. Booking a room – the process

When? 20 (non-limited for Access) hours spread across the application process At least 10 hours for between September and December 1 or 2 hour sessions Plan in advance with mentee

ProGress Reports To be filled in an sent to student, parent and Programmes team within 24 hours of the session. Overview of session and student’s progress. 4 areas which require you to mark student out of 5 Communication Structure of answers Knowledge base Interaction with new ideas Honest and constructive NB hard for us to authorise payment if we haven’t received progress reports

Structuring your Mentoring
To be filled in after your first session with the mentee Flexible, to be adapted as appropriate Key focus areas (based on discussion with the student, any areas of weakness etc) Structure of sessions, including topics that will be covered, and if known, any relevant reading

Job reference is student’s name and what scheme they are on Please try and use specific dates when possible, as this makes it easier to process £30/hour (£35 for silver tutors, £40 for gold tutors) Opportunities for promotion usually come at the end of the year. NB hard for us to authorise payment if we haven’t received progress reports
