Strands 1-3 The course provides students the opportunity to develop essential skills in the various career pathways related to Family and Consumer Sciences. Students will explore and cultivate skills in interior design, clothing and textile construction, fashion design and merchandising, consumerism, entrepreneurship and career and job-related tasks.

Students will be introduced to element of housing and interior design and how it impacts families, communities and careers

For this project students will need: 2 file folders Glue Scissors Magazines This portfolio is where students will take all their notes and do the different assignments. DON’T LOSE IT! (You will not get another portfolio!)

This person will be in charge of the group. They will make the final decisions as well as take all responsibility for any loss or gain the business/company has. They need to be a leader and able to take charge in order to get the assignment done. Head of Finances This person will be in charge of the finances. They need to be great at math as well as trustworthy.

This person will oversee the manufacturing of the ties. They need be an excellent sewer and able to handle pressure and stress. Head of Advertising This person will be in charge of all the advertisement and getting your product out to the public. They need to be creative and artistic. Head of Supplies This person will be in charge of creating the shopping list as well as making sure your group has all the supplies needed to complete your project
