10 What do Adverbs Modify? How? E.g. He ran quickly.
“Quickly” describes HOW he ran.

11 What do Adverbs Modify? 2. When? She arrives today.

12 What do Adverbs Modify? 3. Where? She fell down.
Do not confuse with Prepositions!!! She fell down the hill. Adverbs are a single word. Prepositions come with a phrase.
