VOCA Performance Measurement Tool
Step by Step guide for consistent data reporting for local programs
2
VOCA PMT How are you pulling this data for this report?
Are you using your VOCA report in Optima? Other? Have them actually answer these questions. Where are they getting their data for the VOCA report?
3
VOCA PMT 1st quarter ONLY- Sections 1 and 2 should match
Demographics of children is for NEW children served that quarter only
4
VICTIMIZATION TYPES This is the most inconsistent category of the report according to DAC
5
Victimization types Primary type of victimization only!!
What does the petition say? Focus should be on what the CHILD WAS THE VICTIM OF not what the “crime” of the case was. LIMIT your multiple victimizations All of your children served should not have multiple victimizations. Why would they have multiples? Examples? Your total number of victims – your number of multiple should = the total number of children you served.
6
Victimization Your VOCA categories in Optima should match the actual VOCA categories Child Physical Abuse and Neglect Child Sexual Abuse Domestic and/or Family Violence
7
Special Classification
Your VOCA report categories in Optima should match the categories on the actual VOCA report.

6- Victim Compensation application
HUGE deal to VOCA and the DAC DAC wants EVERY victim to be receiving this information and submitting the application You should NEVER have 0 in this section Tina Harmon Anyone can fill out an application on behalf of the victim (child)- Foster Parents, DHS, CASA? DAC will determine if they qualify. If an application is not submitted within 1 year of the crime (removal) then they can never receive funds. Once an application is submitted and a file is opened, it’s opened forever and they can access funds whenever they need them. Who is doing this? How are you doing this? What do you think about having the CASA fill out the application and submit it? Consistency so we can ensure this is being done.
