Associations of Producer Organisations
An Association of Producer Organisations (APO) is an umbrella organisation that acts on behalf of two or more recognised Producer Organisations. It must be a separate legal entity or a clearly defined part of a legal entity. Article Associations of producer organisations Member States may, on request, recognise associations of producer organisations in a specific sector … which are formed at the initiative of recognised producer organisations. … associations of producer organisations may carry out any of the activities or functions of producer organisations.

Interbranch organisations are vertically integrated organisations which comprise producers and at least one member of the processing or trading part of the supply chain. Interbranch organisations provide a means of allowing dialogue between actors in the supply chain, and in promoting best practices and market transparency.
