2 Introduction It has affected the libraries too.
Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has affected every sphere of our life. It has affected the libraries too. The expectations of the users are also changing in this changed scenario. They want modified and upgraded services. In this study an attempt has been made to find out the behavior of the users of an engineering college.

3 Objective The objective of this paper is to pinpoint the satisfaction of the users with the print resources and e resources to reflect their awareness about current developments in the field of Library and Information Science. the use of social media by the students to find out if they want to be connected to the library by social media. will help the authorities to develop the libraries accordingly

4 Methodology Students as many as possible of an engineering college having more than 400 students in a town in extended Kolkata have been approached and surveyed through a questionnaire. The questionnaire was semi-structured enquiring the various needs and uses of the library. 53 students are approached. Both questionnaire and interview methods have been adopted in juxtaposition. The data thus obtained are organized and presented in a tabular form. Inferences are also drawn.

5 Description of the Surveyed College Library
The college has a huge library with separate reading room for teachers and students. There are 11 computers in the reading room. There is a separate digital section and separate room for the librarian. The library has books and 5 staffs apart from the librarian. \ The library was established in the year 2012 and it is automated though manual records are also kept. The software used for automation is LIBSIS. It subscribes 43 national and international eJournal from DELNET and Institution of Engineers. It has 1100 eBooks under membership of BCL. It gives ready reference service. Photocopying machine is also there in the library. The library is a closed access library with separate stack room.

10 Conclusion Mostly the students come to the library for academic purposes. They take subject books, some of them take reference books and very few magazines and journals. Most of them use internet, Very few use eBook or eJournal They want their library to be a combination of digital and traditional resources. Most students are in favour of communicating with the librarian and be connected to the library by social media. Users of an engineering college are adopting themselves in the changing scenario They are using the boons of ICT in the library with ease and comfort.
